Dear Clients,
We would like to make you aware of several changes made during the month of April. These changes improved our security measures, as well as the performance and reliability of our Servers.
Changes Include:
- Upgraded Billing Management Area
- Security Questions - We encourage all users to login and select a Security Question. This will be used to validate your account when updating billing information over the phone.
- Password Reminders - We have changed the reminder system to a new type of system. When you request a password reminder, you are actually resetting your password. This change was made to prevent hackers from getting original passwords. This also relates to the Security Questions, because you will be asked your security question before being able to reset your password.
- Password Storing - We now encrypt all of our passwords in a separate database, using the latest encryption software. The encryption method uses a key system, which changes hourly. This make hacking nearly impossible.
- Quarterly Payments - Ability to pay via quarterly payments. This method is discounted, and offers people to have to worry less about paying every month.
- Quoting System - We now have the ability to quote you for additional work we may perform for you. This includes custom PHP coding, additional slots (not a normal number we sell), etc.
- Upgraded Support Area
- Network Issue Tracker - Ability to use an RSS feed to track Open Network Issues.
- Multiple File Uploads - Users now have the ability to upload multiple attachments to one ticket reply, instead of only being able to upload a single attachment.
We have upgraded to the latest SHOUTcast fix as of March 15th, 2009. If you have not restarted your SHOUTcast server since then, please do so to get the latest features and security fixes. We will be restarting those SHOUTcast servers, as well as the associated Auto-DJ's on April 30th, 2009.
We hope that these small upgrades continue to improve our services, security, and reliability.
