SHOUTcast Upgrades

Stream101 has made major software upgrades this weekend. We've upgraded many security aspects of the services. These upgrades include:

  • Setting all clients to the latest version of SHOUTcast
  • Setting up individual server firewalls (for each portbase)
  • Setting overall hardware filters to block DDOS attacks
  • Setting overall software filters to filter out attempted hacks and penetrated DDOS attacks

To take advantage of these new security features, please restart both your SHOUTcast and Auto-DJ service.  We have opted not to do this, so we can keep your listeners on your station.
